Privacy policy
In short
Blokk is made to keep what you copy on your Mac. The app does not send your content to us or to anyone else. We only store your email address if you sign up for the Windows version.
The app
The text you edit and your history are stored in a database on your Mac, in the app’s own folder. You decide how long history is kept, and you can delete it at any time under Settings → History.
Secrets
When Blokk finds something that looks like a secret, such as an API key or a password, it is encrypted before it is stored. The key needed to read it lives in your keychain and is protected by Touch ID. We have no copy of it.
Local AI
Short names in your history are made by Apple Intelligence on your Mac. If it isn’t available, the entry gets a simple name based on its content. Nothing is sent to an external service.
The mailing list
If you sign up for the Windows version, we store your email address and when you signed up. We only use it to tell you when the Windows version ships, and delete the list afterwards.
The website
This website uses Umami, which we host ourselves at analytics.domi.no, to count visits and clicks, such as on the App Store badge and in the language menu. Umami uses no cookies and stores no IP addresses or anything else that identifies you. It records the page, the referring site, browser, operating system, device type and country. If you pick a language in the language menu, one cookie (blokk-lang) remembers it for a year, so the site opens in that language next time. Your choice of light or dark theme is stored only in your browser.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time. If you disagree with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
